Tuscany Heights

Celebrating 10 Years of Tiger Traditions

Tuscany Heights Elementary

Tuscany Heights is the 168th Lighthouse School in the Nation as recognized by Stephen Covey. Through student leadership, we grow leaders that encompass a growth mindset and establish lifelong skills that will support our students as they grow into adults. Our mission is a living action statement that we use to guide Team Tuscany, as we do great things for all.

"We, THE Tigers, will be inspired to LEAD, HONOR, and EXCEL today!"

Tuscany's Fall Scholastic Book Fair is here!

Bailey's Bulletin

We can't wait to see all the Fiesta Medal Artwork!

If you haven't talked to your child about it yet, please do! We are having a contest with the students. The teachers took between October 16-18th to provide instructions and some thoughts about what students might like to design. The entry forms went home this past week and students can work on it at home over the weekend. All forms are due October 21st and judging will take place on October 22nd. We will have prizes for the top art submissions and the overall winner will have their medal come to live in honor of the 10th Anniversary for THE. We also have King Rey Feo LXXII joining us this spring! What a fun honor!!!

We have parent conferences this week! Please take the time to schedule one with your child's teacher. We want to brag on all of our boys and girls, and also share their goals we are looking forward to helping them master.

We have enjoyed the KINDNESS Campaign! Ask your child if they are taking on the challenges! You will love to hear how they are spreading kindness. Thank you for helping us brighten the day for many. This week's challenges are:

10/21 Hold the door open for someone

10/22 Donate outgrown clothes to someone in need

10/23 Be a good listener in class, at home and with a friend

10/24 Smile at someone new

10/25 Help your parents with a chore

10/28 Read a book to someone

10/29 Tell someone why they are special to you

10/30 Pick one toy that you don’t play with anymore and donate to someone

10/31 Tell someone thank you for a kindness they have shown this month!

Be a Bestie, Not a Bully!

Choose Kindness!

Proud Principal,

Tara Bailey

Tuscany Heights Run for the Heights

Tuscany Heights is hosting a fundraiser, and our goal is to raise $25,000 for Field Trips, Assemblies, and Library Author Visits.

In just a few weeks from now, family and friends will support our school by giving pledges towards the number of laps your student will run on the day of the Fun Run.

We’ve asked the fundraising experts at Booster to power our program, making our fundraising simpler, more profitable, and more fun.

Click the link below to learn more about our upcoming program!

In the past, our school has profited $23,000 to fund Field Trips, Technology, and more. Help us reach our goal this year by connecting with sponsors!

Pledging Opens - 10/29

Log on to FUNRUN.COM

Pep Rally - 11/5

Event Day – 11/15

SAVE THE DATE! You’re Invited!

We’ll be sharing more information over the next few weeks.

We have been selected as one of the schools to receive a visit from El Rey Feo this Spring! In celebration of his visit and our 10 year anniversary as a school, we will be designing an anniversary themed Fiesta Medal. The Medal will feature art by one of our students selected through a school wide art contest. Entry forms were sent home with your child. Entries due TOMORROW Oct. 21!

Calling all dads and dad figures to come on out to our Watch DOGS Pizza Party Kick off on Oct. 22 from 6-7 pm. This coincides with the Library Book fair so come enjoy pizza, learn about the WatchDog Program, and explore the book fair with your kids!

Our lost and found is getting pretty full. We will have items on display during teacher conference week. Please take a look for any items that might be yours. It really helps if you label coats and jackets with your name so we can get them back to you!

Watch for flyers coming home to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond for our children as an Honorary Texas PTA Life Membership Award! Entries are due Oct. 28.

Please let us know that you are interested in volunteering for 5th Grade Activites through the year, Even if you emailed us or were at the meeting, we would like your information on this google form. We are designing t-shirts, selecting student gifts and gift to school, planning the End of Year Party on May 21st and THE 5th Grade Ceremony. Some committees have chairs and are shown next to it on this form. This is an exciting year for THE students and it takes a village to make it great. Thanks for helping!
