**If your student is in Plan B, in-person counseling lessons have begun.
Kindergarten: We took a break from Second Step this week so students could meet Ms. Ottmer and learn some new breathing exercises we'll practice weekly. Your student learned rainbow breath, counting breath, dandelion breath, belly breath, and balloon breath.
Every grade will be working on the Second Step curriculum. In this newsletter, all of the "home links" are below with the lesson we recently learned to help you and your student practice the skills at home.

GRATITUDE was the P2 trait this week.
To help them continue these lessons and practice in daily life, you can use the P2 Book List or P2 for Families resource (password is "P2"). (Links below).
If your student was recognized in the Quarter 1 P2 Assembly, you can access their award certificate here.
We also encourage you to have all of your family members take the character strength survey. This can be a great way to learn more about P2 and connect with LME!
Click on the P2 trait of the week and use the password "P2" (case-sensitive) for access. You’ll find 1 quote, 1 video, and 3 questions to help you and your children discuss The Positivity Project’s character strength of the week.
This form provides parents/guardians with the opportunity to give permission for the school counselors to virtually work with their student(s) during the 2020-2021 school year.
