San Vicente School Weekly Bulletin
A Professional Learning Community--March 16-20, 2020
***********Good News and Congratulations**********
GOOD NEWS----with so many bad news swirling around us and the world, it is good to share some good news: dozens of students received awards in 5th and 6th grade for Most Improved, Best Reader, Peace Maker and more.
KUDOS----to all teachers for your consistency, attendance, and carrying out of parent conferences this last week. I am especially impressed with your attendance. You have kept nervousness and hysteria at bay while teaching students to be safe and use healthy habits. We bow to you!
Corona Virus MEMO
March 13, 2020
MEMO
Given the current dynamics with regards to the spread of the Corona Virus, one of the best things we can do as educators is be informed and take active and
precautionary measures. Do thoughtfully consider the following:
a) Help ensure that any students who show symptoms such as fever and/or respiratory infections, get seen immediately by our health aide.
b) Do take care of very minor health needs within your classroom (such as paper cuts, cuticles, non-bruising and non-bleeding incidents). Allow students to return to your classroom with applied ice, as needed.
c) Should you or any other adult staff member demonstrate fever and/or respiratory symptoms, get screened by our health aide.
d) Use “respiratory etiquette” by covering coughs with tissue or sleeves. Teach this to children.
e) Practice and promote frequent hand washing. Teach this to children.
f) Practice and promote “social distancing” such as elbow bumps instead of hand shaking.
g) Work together with our custodial staff by helping to wipe down tables and towel dispensers. They are spending extra time to disinfect door-knobs, water fountains, and other frequently touched areas.
h) Should five or more students become ill within a five day period, notify our health aide as this needs to be reported to the health department.
i) Please refer to the (copy in this newsletter) letter from Superintendent Vanoli (Distributed March 9th)
Thank you for all you do to protect the health and safety of all our students!

Parent Corner---LCAP Goal 4: Parent Involvement
Gracias.
With the current worldwide crisis related to the Corona Virus, one of the best things we can do is to stay informed. With that in mind, we will be sending home information in writing that we ask you read carefully. We ask that you review such information with your children and that you take all precautions necessary. Thank you.
