Why Is The Dairy Food Group?

The dairy food group is the food group that provides calcium and potassium for your body and helps produce bone health. Along with those dairy also helps produce protein and vitamin D.

What is Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a medical condition where the bones in your body become brittle and fragile from the loss of tissue. The bones begin to form pores or holes in them making them weak.

Ways to prevent Osteoporosis

Three ways to prevent osteoporosis are-

1. Consume plenty of calcium and vitamin D each day.

2. During preteens and teen years lots of physical activity produces bone mass and greatly reduces the risk of osteoporosis in adult hood.

3. Along with diet and exercise, prevent smoking and drinking alcohol.

1. Fat Free milk

2. Smoothies

3. Ice Cream

4. Yogurt

5. Cheese

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 cups chocolate chips, 2 Hershey's chocolate bars, chopped or M&M'S
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
