Academics
Spelling/Writing: We are working on lesson 16 for spelling, words with /k/, /ng/, and /kw/. The test will be Thursday, March 3rd.
English: This week we will focus on adjectives and figurative language.
Science: We will begin researching our creatures this week, which includes learning how to take notes. Please see the explanation sheet on the 4th grade portal of the MJS website for important details!
Reading: We are beginning the story Riding Freedom, which is historical fiction.
Social Studies: We are continuing with Westward Expansion and learning all about how and why people began moving west. We will also be getting fitted for our costumes this week! Save the Date for our 4th Grade Play, California Missions and More!, March 10th @ 1:30pm in the HPAC.
San Juan Capistrano Field Trip: Information sheets and waivers should be turned in. Any questions--please email Ms. Gandara. agandara@mayfieldjs.org Remember, kids need to be dropped off at 6:45am on March 4th. It's going to be a blast!
