Whitney Houston was a singer, actress, film producer, record producer, and model from 1977 10 2012. She sang R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Pop music. She was one of the first women of color on the cover of Seventeen. Whitney Houston was the No. 1 album of the year on the 1986 Billboard year-end charts, making her the first woman to ever earn the role. Her first acting role was in The Bodyguard in 1992. She went o to be in Waiting to Exhale, the Tyler Perry movies, and The Preachers Wife with Denzel Washington.
She was married to Bobby Brown from 1992- 2004 and had Bobbi Kristina Brown

She was very successful in everything she did like her movies and music. This was an example for other people because it showed that minorities could overcome their circumstances and pursue they dreams. She proved that color didn't matter in entertainment and people were equal. Whitney Houston won many awards for her music and modeling career. She became the first woman to hold Billboard charts statuses and hold other statuses as well.
