PTO Meeting Tonight at 7pm

Please join us this evening on Zoom at 7pm for our January PTO meeting! We'll be reviewing the results of our parent teacher feedback survey, which you will also find in next week's Bobcat Blast.

This month, we are discussing the Jog-a-Thon - if we can't find volunteers to run the event this spring, we are considering our alternatives. We hope you can join us for this conversation!

You can review last month's minutes on our website. Please send any comments or corrections to secretary@bspto.org.

Dollar Wars Update

Thanks to your support, we are now almost halfway to our goal with $1,443.09 raised!

Send your students with spare change to support their favorite teachers, and help us raise money to install a new crest climber on the playground! Don't forget to put the silver coins in someone else's jar to subtract points!

Current Teacher Rankings:
1st: Plunkett with 7,859 points
2nd: GaRey with 6,491 points
3rd: Springer with 6,325 points
4th: Sheehan with 5,307 points

Questions? Please contact Heather at playground.improvement-lead@bspto.org.

** For Security: Bills $20 or more can be traded in the office for Bobcat Money. Bobcat Money will then need to be put into the bucket of the student's choice.

Winter Staff Room Restock

Thank you to all of the families who helped stock the staff room, we had a great turn out. We were able to put some items out, and then stock the closet so we can put more out later. The staff was so excited and overwhelmed this morning.

We are so thankful for your generosity and support.

Looking For Volunteers

Our annual Variety Show and Jog-a-Thon are wonderful opportunities for our community to come together to celebrate and support our students - but these events won't happen without your help! We're looking for interested volunteers to help with either the Variety Show or the Jog-a-Thon. Whether or not you have any event experience, your help is valuable and appreciated. Please reach out to Anjana at volunteer.coordinator@bspto.org to learn more. Thank you!

Overdue Library Books

We need your help! We have a LOT of overdue and missing library books from last year (and this year too). Ms. Hussain will be sending out overdue notices with the list of titles that your child(ren) have checked out.

PLEASE look around your homes, cars, Grandma's house, or anywhere a book may be hiding! 🙂 The books that have been marked as "lost" have fines attached. If this is a hardship for your family, please reach out to Ms. Hussain or Mr. Parker and we can work with you.

We would much rather have the BOOKS than the money to replace them. Let's see how many we can return before Winter Break! Thank you!!

Immunization Exclusion Day

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Please note that Immunization Exclusion Day is FEBRUARY 15, 2023. Your child's immunizations must be up to date by this day. According to Oregon state law, no student will be allowed to attend school if immunizations have not been completed. All absences will be considered unexcused.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AnnMarie McLeod at annmarie_mcleod@beaverton.k12.or.us

Reporting An Absence

Please remember to include the office in any communications regarding your child's absences. You may leave a message on the attendance line at 503-356-2035 or email Mrs. McLeod at annmarie_mcleod@beaverton.k12.or.us

The most important information to include in these communications is:

  1. Child's name
  2. ID number (their library number)
  3. Teacher
  4. Date of absence
  5. Reason for absence

We are in the process of taking pictures from different areas of the school. We may post pictures or videos, but there will be no names associated with the pictures. If you would prefer that we don't publish a picture of your child, please send me an email to: Sue_Kropilak@beaverton.k12.or.us
