How to prevent burns and fires.
Flammable is something that catches fire easily. These things should be kept out of the kitchen and away from hot pans. When cooking, pan handles should always be toward the center of the range this prevents people from running and knocking over the pan. Keep all dangling objects and long hair away from the place you are cooking.
Putting out a Fire
When putting out a grease fire you should NEVER use water because the grease can splatter and burn you. You should use baking soda, salt, or a fire extinguisher to put out a grease fire. You should always use a fire extinguisher to put out fires, water isn't safe to use. When there is a fire inside a pan don't touch it leave it where it is. If the fire gets out of control then alert everyone in the house, leave the house, and call 911.
