A Message from the Principal...
Dear friends,
I hope you enjoyed your Easter Sunday and the beautiful weather we were blessed with this weekend. As you return to work this morning, you may noticed that work on the quad is underway. This weekend they removed one section of the sod (near the big tree) and replaced it with decomposed granite.
I also have some safety information to share with you. Twin Peaks has been selected as one the the first schools to have it's security cameras updated with new and improved versions. This work may begin as early as next month, but the bulk of it will take place this summer. The district has also provided some additional safety-related information. The plan is to evaluate the physical security systems at each campus within PUSD. Based on a risk assessment model, they will identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. Any recommended infrastructure investments will be prioritized in a risk matrix and include cost information.
Focus area of the assessment include:
- Perimeter Security
B. Adequacy of existing infrastructure
C. Visitor check-in & vetting
2. Exterior Lighting
I will continue to keep you posted as additional information becomes available. Meanwhile, we appreciate you efforts to keep our campus safe and secure, by ensuring you close and lock the gates as you exit, escorting your invited visitors to and from the front office, and keeping your classroom locked and inaccessible to students when you are not present.
Have a great week!
