Most Influential People since '94
Cassidy Laine Pickrell
Well, my daddy is my daddy (can't get much simpler than that.) He went to the Air Force Academy, and is an international pilot for Delta Airlines. He was an All-American swimmer, and played water polo on the side. My dad served in the military for seven years before going into the commercial airline business.
My papa bear is the best man you will ever meet (and even if I wasn't his daughter I would still be saying that). He is the most loyal friend you will ever meet, and the dorkiest too! He is very headstrong and when he puts his mind to something, he gets it done and makes it look easy. He is always reminding me of how important my faith is in life, and how he will always be there for me. My dad is also a scary man (a B.A.). He went through the Air Force Academy and served during a few wars. He's pretty big, too, which keeps a lot of boys away, but I don't mind. Despite his intimidating characteristics, he's one big love, and I hope to be the kind of friend and person he is one day.
Once again, my mom is my mom. She attended Western Michigan, and was the president of her sorority, Alpha Phi, there. After college, she became a flight attendant for Delta airlines, where her and my dad met.
My mom is my best friend, and the strongest and most trustworthy friend anyone could have. I trust her with my life, and I know she will always be there for me. She's crazy (in the good way) and conservative, reserved and loud, protective and loving all at the same time. She is supermom, and I pray that one day I will be that to my children.
Erin Andrews was an ESPN sports reporter, who is currently working for Fox Sports. She graduated from Florida with a journalism degree and is one of the most well-known woman sports reports there is.
Erin is a very classy woman, and sticks to her morals. She not only focuses on what is best for her career, but also what is best for her body and life. She has made it to the top by pushing herself to be better than everyone else in her field of work, and she has no negative press about her. Since my goal and dream is to become a sports reporter, Erin Andrews is what I aspire to be one day.
Kylie Pickrell is my younger sister. She is a phenomenal volleyball player, and person inside and out. She was just recently named sophomore of the year, meaning she is basically the number one recruit in the 2015 class. She has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen, and she has never met a stranger.
My sister is a role model to me, because there isn't a day she finds something to be happy about. Although she can be grouchy sometimes, she is one of the nicest people I have ever been around. She cares for other people, and no matter who you are, there is a special place in her heart for you. I work to be as generous and loving as she is.
Paula Weishoff is my head coach at UCIrvine, but she did not get there by pure chance. She has won two Olympic medals, received the Olympic MVP award, coached the Olympic woman's volleyball team, has been named to multiple all- american and all-time lists, and was recently named as the best indoor volleyball player to date. She is a very athletic woman with an amazing heart for others.
Paula is a role model to me because she found her passion and stuck with it. She did not let anyone tell her what she could or couldn't do, and she worked at her goals every day. She's accomplished so much in her life, and I can only hope I become half the player she was.
