Myers-Wilkins Wolf Tracks

May/June 2018 - Issue 10

We are approaching the end of the school year. Our students have worked hard this year and have shown much growth. We are super proud of their progress and all they have accomplished this year. We are looking forward to the end of the year festivities that will be occurring. This includes Reading/Math Family Night on May 15th from 5:00-6:00 p.m., our annual Bike Rodeo on May 24th, Kindergarten Celebration June 1st @ 1:00 p.m., Field Day June 5th, and 5th grade Celebration June 6th @ 12:45 p.m.Information on these events has and will continue to be be sent home. Also check the attached calendar information on many of the events coming up.

As the days warm up and we get some wet weather please ensure to send your child in appropriate gear for the weather outside (i.e. light jacket, rain boots). If you need support with this please contact Stephan at ext. 2501. Also remember to check the lost and found if your child has lost a piece of clothing. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year.

It has been a pleasure to get to know the students and families at Myers-Wilkins these last two years. As I informed you in my letter to families, it has been an honor to serve this community. Myers-Wilkins will always be near and dear to my heart and I will always proudly wear our school name and mascot. I wish your family the very best. I will greatly miss our students and families. To our fifth grade students and families we wish you the best of luck in the next chapter of your schooling. Remember students once a wolf always a wolf.

Thank you for all you do for your child(ren) here at Myers-Wilkins. We appreciate your support.

One last time for our students (I tell them this daily)... "Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know."

Go Wolves! Paw Pride!

We have officially completed MCA Testing for 3rd-5th grade. Thank you for supporting your child by ensuring that they got a good night sleep and something to eat in the morning. Our students worked really hard and we are excited to see the results.

Leaders of the Pack Award for April

We continue to have all school monthly morning meetings and recognition assemblies. We have created our "Leaders of the Pack Award." Each month one student from every class is nominated that is demonstrating our core values of being respectful, responsible and safe. The students parents are called and invited to come to the assembly but their child does not find out until the day of the assembly that they are receiving the award. We are proud to highlight our April "Leaders of the Pack:"

Myia Lloyd, Eli Bounsall, Zixuan (Matthew) Mei, Alexandria Albin, Joseph Lightfeather, Piper Linn, Sabrina King, Aaliyah Saunders, Symeion Cannon, Leela Xiong, G'Aviyon Moore, Curtis St. Clair-Crow, Brianna Khalar, Candon Adams, William Collelo, Aliyanan Webster, Talie Williams, Kai Olson, Kiara Sias, Xavier Tandiciad, Kassandra Roberts, Micaiah Voltzke, Luvert Paul, Anthony Loons, Bennett Linval, Sam Ramsey-Coffin, Artez Jackson, Kendall Nickaboine, Conner Slater, Marcus Johnson, Alexus Koski, Kianna St. Germain.
