Aaand we're off!
Staff returned this week full of energy and ready to start the year! We were busy learning about our new reading curriculum, planning for the start of the year, and getting ready to welcome families into the building. It was so wonderful to see so many families and students the last two days; we hope you enjoyed the time to meet your teachers, see your classrooms, and get some important start of year information. We love having this opportunity to connect prior to the first day of school!
Tuesday is the first day of school for 1st through 5th grade students, and we can't wait to have them back in our halls! Breakfast will be served starting at 8 am with morning line-up beginning around 8:15 am. If your child is eating breakfast, please have them enter through the front doors and head straight to the multi-purpose room.
Parents can wait outside with their student if they would like, but will not be allowed to enter to walk them to their classroom (for safety purposes). All teachers come outside at 8:25 am to pick up their class and greet them! Any students who arrive at 8:30 or later will need to enter through the main doors and check-in at the office. Dismissal is at 3 pm.
See you soon!

Ongoing Reminders
- Bus riders: if you received your Zum card at conferences, please remember to work with your student on where to keep it in their backpack and how to take it out/access it each day for the bus. If you did not receive it, you either haven't registered for the bus or registered after the first round of cards arrived. More will be coming!
- Please label all your student's belongings! Backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles, extra clothes, and more! This helps us return lost items to their owner rather than placing in the increasingly full lost and found!
- Please take the Family Information Survey linked here. We are asking that all families take this survey; it provides the district with vital information that impacts funding for various interventions and supports in our building.
Busing Updates & Communication
Zum has been working on finalizing routes and stops. They will send a text message and email to registered families on Sunday with final route information. If you have questions, please use our Let's Talk feature: https://www.k12insight.com/Lets-Talk/Dialogue.aspx?k=WT7T9BLT@DY8K5B9LT

Last year, our PTG purchased 6 Integrated Flat Panel Screens for use around the building. These high tech items are used by teachers to build more student agency/engagement in their classrooms, integrate more technology into their lessons, and promote 21st century skills for students! Thank you to all who support our PTG; it is with your donations that we were able to start purchasing some of these incredible instructional supports!
