Looking Back: Ozobot Challenge
During the month of January students were able to practice the initial coding skills they learned in December using Ozobots. Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 practiced coding Ozobots to make them perform specific moves, such as doing U-turn, speeding up or slowing down.
Older students, having already practiced with movement codes, used Ozobots to help retell a well-known story. Students planned codes to make Ozobots spin, zigzag and even walk backwards to enhance stories such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Pigs.
Student Partnerships
These buddy partnerships have been very successful - students and teachers alike are looking forward to working together in the months to come.

Digital Citizenship focus for the Month.
Each month we will focus on a Digital Citizenship reminder to include in classrooms and at home when students are going online. The focus for February is: Cyberbullying. A simple rule of thumb to share with children is that if it is not ok to say something offline, it is not ok to say it online. Some things to share:
- It is important that we all do our part to stop bullying, online and in real time.
- Discuss with children how to recognize cyberbullying.
- It is important to not respond to bullies - ignore bullying comments and tell an adult.
