Liger life span
Nobody knows the exact life span of ligers. A female liger called Shasta was born at Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, and died at the age of 24. Another record of a male liger called Nook, who lived in Valley of the Kings animal sanctuary in Wisconsin, and died at the age of 21

Since ligers are large cats weighing more than 1000 pounds, they need a lot of food on the daily basis. It is estimated that a liger requires at least 30 pounds of raw meat in one day. One of the most favorite foods of this liger includes beef, elk and venison

Ligers that are 3 to 4 year old ligers are usually half again as large as full-grown lions or tigers and by the time they stop growing, around 7, the biggest ligers may be twice the size of lions or tigers, weighing 900 to 1500 pounds, and reaching 12 feet in height when standing on their hind legs.
