What is Drama?
A drama is a story enacted onstage for a live audience.
The word drama comes for the greek word dran meaning "to do".
A drama is much like a plot of a normal story there is a conflict, characters, resolution, and other details similar to a story.
A tradegy is an unhappy ending, and a comedy is a happy ending.
Modern day comedies and dramas are slightly different now. Instead of things like princesses and frogs, or Romeo and Juliet, its like normal people, couples, a tragic accident, a crime, or a story about someones illness.
Performances and plays/shows are conducted about the same way. We have a director, crew, characters, makeup, lighting, sound effects, etc.
We also still use things like props.
