Ms. Morris's Class News

5th grade Language Arts/Social Studies 2016-2017

Welcome to Language Arts/Social Studies!

Hello! My name is Brittany Morris, and I'll be teaching your kiddos language arts and social studies. Our year will be filled books, authors and history...all things I'm passionate about. I really think this is the year I can spark a love for reading and the events that shape all our lives. We are interconnected and the best way for our kiddos to understand this is to learn from other's mistakes and see human struggles in the safest environment possible: books.

I'm looking forward to an amazing year!! I can only do this with your help. We're a partnership in your/our child's learning. We *will* do this together.

My Philosophy in Two Simple Videos

I show both these videos in the first week of class. I honestly believe Kid President is an inspiring, uplifting and intelligent young man who is an example of a True Leader that our kiddos can relate to. I want him to get them pumped and excited about our brand new school year. I don't care about what a child has done in previous years, this is a brand new year which means a brand new you. Only you can change you.
