Where are strawberries grown? When is it peak season?

They grow in family gardens in all 50 states. There are not that many places where strawberries won't grow. Almost all commercially produced strawberries come from the north. The largest strawberry producing country is the United States by far, growing up to 20-25% of the world's annual production. Spain is the world's second largest producer, with about 6-7% of the growth.The growing season for strawberries runs from January through November but the peak season is April through June.

How do you store the strawberries after you have bought them?

1) Store them in the fridge without washing them- If you wash them and not use them they will get moldy faster

2) Remove a mouldy strawberry immediately- Mold will spread easily

3) Store the berry at room temperature if you will be eating them in a few hours- It will retain their fresh taste

4) you could also freeze them until ready to use them
