A new school year is in full swing and there's a lot happening at LMS.

HAPPY FALL!

Lots going on in the nurse's clinic.

Right now, there seems to be a stomach "illness" happening. Students are complaining of mild stomach discomfort, with no other symptoms, and it appears to be lasting about a day. Hopefully, we will soon be past that.

Please remember that if your child is sick or not feeling well, keep him/her home. This includes symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, chills, headaches, and/ or stomach problems (nausea, diarrhea, vomiting).

There is now a way for parents/guardians to self-report issues related to Covid. It can be found on our LMS home webpage at lms.catoosa.k12.ga.us. The link is accessible in two places. 1) Quick Links- about halfway down the page, there is a link titled, "COVID Self Reporting, or 2) at the top of the home page, hover over "FOR PARENTS", School Nurse, and click LMS NURSE.

If your child is placed in quarantine due to a pending Covid test result, a positive Covid test result, or an exposure to a positive case---PLEASE keep your child at home and notify your school nurse if you have not done so. As nonsensical as it seems and as inconvenient as it may be, it is required by the state. Even though your child may not have any symptoms after being exposed, it does not mean that he/she has not contracted the virus, and could be spreading it to others unknowingly.

With the cooler temperatures and beautiful days we are having, I hope you and your family have an opportunity to take advantage of some great outdoor fun. Our community and nearby communities have so much to offer, and this might be a perfect time to explore something new, different, or even something you have tried in the past. Have a terrific Fall Break and stay well!!!
