Japanese Internment Camp Lies
America had to lie to convince people this was good
During WWII, Japanese people were put into internment camps because of the American people's fear. Everyone thought this was okay because of the propaganda going on at the time.
Dr. Seuss's comic
Everyone was effected by the propaganda. Children were taught to think that all Japanese people hated the country.
Ironically...
It was children who hated Japanese people more than the Japanese Americans hated America.
Japanese People didn't even hate America
After pearl harbor, this Japanese American hung up a billboard with giant letter stating "I AM AN AMERICAN".
Everyone Thought the Camps Were Okay
The internment camps didn't have many pictures taken of them. The pictures that were are obviously sided towards the benefit of the camp. For example, this cute picture of the children being fed in this giant area.
In reality
People were scrunched up everywhere they were. When they ate and even in their own homes
