A Message from the School Nurse
The School Health Services Act (s.381.056 F.S.) mandates that each school district shall provide health appraisals and management of actual or potential health problems which includes vision, hearing, scoliosis and growth and development screenings. Screening tests are not diagnostic, but point to the need for further medical evaluation.
You will be notified of the results of the screenings, only if your child appears to have a problem. If for any reason, you DO NOT wish for your child to participate in the Health Screening Program please sign the letter below and return to the school. Should this form not be returned, your child will be scheduled for participation in the program.
Screenings will be performed at Oasis Elementary School during the week of December 5 - 7, 2018. Please return this form to the clinic by November 19th, 2018, if you DO NOT wish for your child to participate.

SAC Meeting
Helping Our Own Through Service (H.O.O.T.S.)
K-Kids and our guidance department are working jointly together collecting nonperishable items that would be desired at any Thanksgiving meal such as cans of vegetables, boxes of mashed potatoes, boxes of stuffing, cans of cranberry sauce, etc. We are also looking for donations of gift cards to Publix. Donations will first go to families in our school who may need assistance at this time of year. We would like to make baskets for those families. Any remaining donations will go to the Cape Coral Caring Center. Please have all donations sent in by Wednesday, November 14. Thanks for your help!!!! Don't forget that the class with the most donations will receive a pizza celebration and the class with the second most donations will receive a popsicle celebration!!!
If you or any families at Oasis who you may know could benefit from this Thanksgiving collection, please send an e-mail to our guidance counselor at Stefanii.Foster@capecharterschools.org or Mr. Zedd at Joshua.Zedd@capecharterschools.org. Everything will be kept confidential. We just want to be able to help our own this Thanksgiving!!!! You can also fill out this letter in the Friday Flyers and return to your child's homeroom teacher by November 14.
