Lincoln/ Madison Feeder
Legendary Leadership * World-class Scholarship
Week of December 14, 2015
Our Vision
The Lincoln/Madison Feeder Pattern prepares scholars to lead, think, communicate and compete as responsible citizens who are college and career bound.
Literacy and Critical Thinking
Professional Learning Communities
Social-Emotional Supports
I would like to thank each of the incredible leaders in the Lincoln/Madison Feeder Pattern for your hard work this semester. I have been pleased with the way you have responded to the many opportunities that we face each day to impact the lives of the students we serve. Please take the next 2 weeks to rest. When we return in January, we will hit the ground running with a laser-like focus on student achievement, quality instruction and school climate.
From my family to yours: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Literacy PD Abounds
Our K-2 teachers will meet at Rhoads this Wednesday, December 16, 2015 3:45-5:15 at Rhoads for their final PD for the semester. Please remind your teachers and ICs to be in attendance.
The two 3-5 literacy cadre teachers and IC will attend their training on January 4, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 at Nolan Estes.
Also, Dunbar will host the feederwide literacy training on January 5, 2015 presented by Lead4Ward. The title of the session is "Figuring Out Figure 19," and it is my belief that if we can support our students in mastering this concept, we will strengthen their reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Data and the PLCs
Please take time now to update your PLC cycles to include the 3 week mini-markers that will start with the 4th six weeks. (Hopefully you have taken a look at the 4th six weeks assessments that have already been uploaded to curriculum central and started the conversations with your teachers regarding the curriculum calendars.) Please upload your revised PLC cycles onto our Lincoln/Madison collaborative google site by January 5, 2016.
