Tomahawk War Axe

The Tomahawk Axe is native to the Native Americans. It used as a hand-to-hand or a thrown weapon. It is also used as a trade-item with the Native Americans for food and other uses. The Continental Congress of the United States in a resolution dated July 18, 1775, decreed that militiamen must provide themselves with a sword or Tomahawk in addition to muskets and bayonets. The patriot militia of King’s Mountain carried Tomahawks instead of swords.

I thought the Tomahawk was not really a good weapon to use because the other teams had muskets and you will have an axe which can't really block and gun shots from it. The good thing is you can cut them open like a sword. And it will help with food supplies too.
