What is a Ballad Poem?
This poem is mostly used to tell to tell a story . It was commonly used back in the day in songs but you may often hear them in modern songs. It was also a common pattern that some African Americans to tell stories about their life.
Structure of a Ballad Poem
A ballad poem consists of a four lined stanza also known as a " quatrain" it usually uses a rhyme scheme of a/b/c/b or a/b/a/b. As well as using alternating couplets.
