AHS Report Card
Hello Raider Nation,
As you all know, this week was the unveiling of the redistricting exemption options for all those families impacted. Below is a brief synopsis of the process.
Our Welcoming Committee will be meeting this coming week to begin planning activities to welcome our new families. Thank you to Matt Lathroum and his marketing students for taking on a video project. Stay tuned for “your” involvement in Atholton’s Welcome Video!
As I roll around the building with my desk, I want to compliment each of you on the high quality of teaching I observe. As I “pop-in” your classrooms, I am impressed with the level of engagement and participation. Thank you for your professionalism and for what you do each day to prepare our students. Your hard work pays off. Last week, MSDE released school report cards and Atholton maintained its 5-start status. You can review our report card here.
This week during Raider Time is our video magazine RaiderTime Review. Scott will send out the link for you to be able to show during RaiderTime.
I hope you can set aside some time this week and next to come out and support our music programs. Band and orchestra winter concerts are this week and chorus is next week. See you there!
Congratulations to our Raiders of the Month:
Oscar Giron-Quintanilla
Miles Johnson
West Peterson
Bella Saunders
Thank you all for your nominations!
For those of you who did not know, Christy McIntyre lost her mother-in-law and was out all last week. Please keep her family in your prayers.
Lastly, on Tuesday, I have been asked to represent the voice of the nation’s principals and speak at a congressional hearing on vaping. Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut will host this Member Forum on the Youth Vaping Epidemic at 1:30pm. I am told it will be televised on C-SPAN.
See you tomorrow!
Robert
