PENNY WARS! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY!

Rules: Each homeroom is given a container for collecting money. Gain points by adding pennies and bills to your class container. Lower other classroom totals by adding silver coins to their containers. Containers will be labeled and located in the gymnasium from 7:20 to 8:15 each morning.


Pennies & Bills: All pennies and bills ADD to your homeroom’s total


Silver Coins: All silver coins subtract from the homeroom’s total *including dollar coins

The NCLA EARTH DAY - May 13

To celebrate Earth Day, we are inviting families to create upcycled art.

We will have the art on display during the Earth Day event on Friday, May 13th.

Pinterest has great ideas as well.

2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art is acceptable!

All art needs to be brought into school by Wednesday, May 11.

Items can be brought to the front office.

Umbrellas and Stands

As the weather warms and you prepare you outdoor living......if you are going to replace your outdoor umbrella or stand.....please consider donating your old one to us!

We are trying to prepare an outdoor cafe lunch seating area for upper school students.

Thanks to wonderful parents through SOAR we have picnic tables for them to sit on but it is really hot.

PTO Spirit Wear Shirts

Days in which the shirts can be worn to school will be on

Friday, May 6 and Friday, May 13.

PTO shirts can be worn, NCLA 5K shirts, or NCLA club t-shirts, Follow the Leader shirts, etc.

Proctors - WE NEED YOU!

We are preparing for testing and we desperately need your help!

Please ask grandparents for help as well. We need proctors for EOG and EOC testing.

The times needs are from 7:35 until 12. Please complete the google form if you can help.

Testing starts on Tuesday, May 24 through Wednesday, June 1st. click HERE for form!


All you need to be able to do to proctor is monitor students testing, monitor students in the hallway and walk them to the restroom as needed.

Spring Picture Proofs or Money Due by Friday!

Individual spring picture money or proofs are due back to your child's homeroom teacher by Friday, May 13th.

School Uniforms Sale

Sale of NCLA used uniforms will be next Monday, May 16 from 2 to 3 pm in Multipurpose room.

Interested in Band Next year? (grades 5 and up)

Band/Orchestra "Mouthpiece" night scheduled on Wednesday May 11 from 4:00-7:00 PM.

News from the Counselor!

New Inductees for NHS and NJHS will need to practice for induction on Thursday, May 12 for 30 minutes after school. Pick up at 3:45.

Ms. Carrick's PE Camp

Ms. Carrick's PE Summer Camp will be held July 11-14th for grades K-6. Camp will be held Monday through Thursday beginning at 8:30am and ending at 12:00pm. More information and the official sign-up is below. Feel free to email jcarrick@thencla.org with any questions or concerns!

Class Pictures for SALE

We still have some remaining class group/grade level pictures that remain and can be purchased. These are $10.00 each. Please send in money to your child's homeroom teacher. Mrs. Bland will distribute extra pictures on a first come first serve basis.

College Planning - High School Students - Thursdays

Art teachers are requesting button up shirts of all sizes to use in art class as smocks.

HIgh School Trip Sign-up

All students in grades 9 - 11 are invited to sign up for High School European trip in June 2017. Students will visit London, Paris, Rome and Venice.

Price increases around December 30th so register before then if you can.

SAT Dates and Information

The SAT and other College Board tests are offered several times a year. Most students take the SAT for the first time during the spring of their junior year and a second time during the fall of their senior year.
