Just for ARA+ teachers

A series of Google Hangouts for professional issues

Professional Pow-Wows

These are not your average webinars! Every Tuesday after school in the month of April, ARA+ will host a Google Hangout On Air. Each Hangout will feature a few A+ teachers from our network schools and a couple of Fellows to engage in discussion, or a "pow-wow" about a specific topic. The schedule is listed below.

While there are limited participants in the video conversation, viewers can post questions and comments for the group to discuss. The events are recorded, so should you miss the live event, you are welcome to view the discussion when it best suites your schedule.

To attend or retrieve any event, simply click the link provided at the end of the event description. I hope you will take the time to join in on the conversation.

Every kid in a park

Tuesday, April 26th, 3:30-4:15pm

This is an online event.

More of a traditional webinar, this Hangout will feature the National Park Service's Every Kid in a Park program as part of the Centennial celebration of our National Parks. Focused on 3rd and 4th grade teachers, we will inform teachers of resources and how to assist students to receive their free passes. The passes allow fourth grade students and their families free admission to parks - this could be a great resource for parental engagement over the summer. Educator resources are also included in the site.
