St. Jerome School Weekly Reminders

Reminders for the Week:

*There is no school on Monday for a faculty meeting.
*Our 4th & 5th grade cohorts will be taking their Terra Nova tests this week.
*This week, Fr. Reilly will be offering the opportunity for our students in 2nd-8th grades to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation as we get closer to Holy Week and the celebration of Easter.
*This Thursday will be a St. Jerome Spirit Day; for a donation, students may wear their gym uniform and any St. Jerome shirt or sweatshirt. Proceeds will benefit our school and contribute to our Race for Education total. PreK-3, PreK-4, and Kindergarten students may follow the instructions from their teachers on how to dress if they would like to donate and participate.
*During Lent, we will be attending the 8:00 AM Mass one day each week (the day will rotate each week); one class will attend in person and the rest virtually. We will also be praying the Stations of the Cross at 1:00 PM on Fridays with two classes in Church and the rest attending virtually. All liturgies will also be livestreamed for our virtual students.

*Second Trimester report cards were posted to OptionC this past Friday. Please contact Mr. Dooley (tdooley@sjsphila.org) if you need your OptionC credentials.

Student Health Reminders
Our reopening plan calls on every member of the school community to support our values of mutual respect, integrity, willingness to sacrifice for the common good and foster community bonds across generations. Commitment to the policies will assist in protecting the health and welfare of all members of our school community.
In an effort to keep all children safe, we ask that Parents monitor their children’s Health daily. Below are the expectations related to the health monitoring.
I attest to :
Fever of 100.4 or above,
chills,
Cough,
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing,
Fatigue,
Muscle or body aches,
Headache,
New loss of taste or smell,
Sore throat,
Congestion or runny nose,
Nausea or vomiting,
Diarrhea,
My child has not had any contact with anyone with COVID
My child has not traveled a location designated as a “Hot Spot"
I am following all CDC recommended guidelines and limiting my/my child’s exposure to risks such as above
If any of these symptoms present, please keep your child from school and contact the school. If the symptoms are serious please seek immediate medical attention. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.
We will keep you informed if the list of symptoms, listed above, changes in any way.
