Fidel Castro was born August 13, 1926. He dominated Cuba and overthrew Batista, Cuba's leader at the time, by using the gorilla tactic. He became the prime minister until the year 1976. He established an ally with Russia and led to the cause of the Cuban Missile Crisis. After that, Castro was Cuba's leader and served as president of Cuba from 1976 to 2008.
Cuban Missile Crisis
Fidel Castro promoted what he fought against. He promoted Communism and stripped citizens from their freedom by taking their constitution. He elected himself president and took advantage of the power. Him and his ally, Khrushchev, almost created the third World War. It was all misinterpreted for President Kennedy. Many thought that he would not act but he ended up having missiles places around the USSR. This crisis that these countries had was just a stand off. No one was going to win and they both knew it. Castro played his cards and ended up dealing the wrong ideas and was left with the plan as unsuccessful.
