New York
Founded as New Netherlands by Peter Minuit (a dutch man) it later became New York when the English conquered it without any bloodshed. It was named New York by the Duke of York. It had successful trade, commerce, and trade relations with the Iroquois. it became a royal colony in 1685

Pennsylvania
Founded by William Penn in 1681 as a civicly and religiously tolerant colony. Pennsylvania had a major Quaker Influence and good relations with the natives. Mixed Farming was popular. This was founded as a proprietary colony
