Mission Statement

St. Joseph Academy, a Christ-centered Catholic community, rooted in faith, knowledge and values, inspires students to live the gospel message in school, the community, and the world and to achieve academic excellence through relevant and challenging curriculum.

End of First Trimester

The last day of the first trimester is tomorrow, Friday, November 8th. It is critical that students submit all missing work, etc. by tomorrow. Report cards will be emailed to parents on Friday, November 15th. We will celebrate our honor students after mass on Wednesday, November 20th.

Veteran's Day

St. Joseph Academy will host a special tribute for our Veterans on Monday, November 11, 2019, Veterans Day, at 2:30pm in our school chapel. We invite all veterans to attend this special ceremony. If able, veterans are encouraged to wear service uniforms or medals.

Welcome Mrs. Rivera!

We are very excited to announce that Mrs. Jackie Rivera has accepted the position of part-time administrative assistant. Mrs. Rivera will be assisting with the bookkeeping/financial responsibilities for our school. She can receive emails at jrivera@sjalakeland.org.

Discover St. Joseph Academy

We are looking forward to a fun week of celebrating St. Joseph Academy with our current families, parishioners, and community. Please mark your calendar and make plans to join us for this fun week.

Sunday, November 17: Discover Our Parish. Students will lead the 11am parish mass as lectors, gift bearers, and choir members. All students who attend mass in their school uniform will receive a dress down pass from Mrs. Haas.

Monday, November 18: Discover Our Teachers. Open House from 5pm-7pm.

Tuesday, November 19: Discover our Students. Open House from 9am-11am.

Wednesday, November 20: Discover our Faith Community. Parishioners and guests are invited to join us for school mass at 8:50am followed by a tour and visit with our school principal, Mrs. Haas.

Thursday, November 21: Discover our Alumni. Alumni Wine and Cheese from 6:30-8:00pm in the school Courtyard.

Friday, November 22: Discover St. Joseph Academy's Service. Turkey Trot Service Project. Watch for more information to come.

Halloween Costumes Laying Around?

Donate your costumes: we are looking to expand our costume wardrobe for musicals and shows. Please consider donating your costume pieces from Halloween. This includes adult and youth sizes!

Musical T-Shirt

To support our cast, we open ordering for the Musical t-shirt to students and parents. Order forms are available in the school office. Order yours and show our cast your support during our Musical dress our days!

Grandparents Day and Family Lunch

Please Save the Date for two fun events coming soon!

Grandparents Day: Wednesday, January 29th morning activities for our students and their grandparents or an older relative/friend that serves in the role of grandparent.

Family Picnic Lunch: Friday, January 31st during lunchtime. All are welcome!

-Practice Days: Tuesday & Thursday

-Practice times: 3:30-5:00

-*days and times are subject to change based on games and school schedule.

-It’s not too late to join. Grades 5th-8th. Team could use more 7th graders and 8th graders.

Reminder- there will be NO Alice Jr. Musical rehearsal this Saturday and there will instead be an assigned interactive homework assignment (please see classroom dojo for details).

Students who are interested in taking violin please contact Ms. Van Wieren as she will be setting up classes with the violin instructor for students to begin in January.
