OneGP Virtual High School Zoom Links
Next week HS will follow this Remote Learning Schedule. We will follow the Wednesday condensed schedule on both Wednesday and Thursday with no school in the PM.
Course Selection Process for OGPV North Students
On February 2nd, Counselors will share course selection forms virtually on Schoology with OGPV students. Students will just type in the document but teachers will not type signatures on the sheets.
Forms are due by February 12th and should be SHARED electronically with Rachelle Berger when they are complete.
On Wednesday, February 3rd, students will have the opportunity to zoom with counselors to ask scheduling questions from 12-2pm.
Counselors will review forms to make sure they collect any that are missing or help students finish the sheets that have blanks.
Counselors will virtually go into English classes so students can input courses into MiStar.
Monday 3/8 & Tuesday 3/9 - Counselors in English classes
Counselors will review Course Selections made.
Teachers will receive course selections for their current students to review placements in a spreadsheet. This is an opportunity for teachers to verify that students have chosen the appropriate courses. This process replaces the teacher signatures on scheduling sheets. Spreadsheets will be due back to Rachelle Berger by Friday, April 2nd.
Course Selection Process for OGPV South Students
Step One - Select classes
February 3 - Course Recommendation Day. Students will open their folder “Scheduling 21-22” in their counselor’s Schoology course and share the 21-22 Course Request Form with their core academic teachers and their parent or guardian via email address. PLEASE, MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT HAS YOUR E.MAIL ADDRESS so that the file can be shared appropriately and you can see what they are selecting.
Students talk with each of their academic teachers to get recommendations in their core subjects
Families may want to consult the Program of Studies for 2021-22 and Course Expectations Planning Guide
Counselors will be available to meet. Connect here
Parents should review the course selections file their student shared via email and electronically sign the course selection page at the bottom by typing in their name at the signature line.
Once courses have been selected and a parent has signed the form the student should submit the course selection form in Schoology by February 10th
Step Two - Entering classes
March 8th and 9th - Students will meet with a counselor in their English class via Zoom to enter classes into the MiStar systemStep Three - Educational Development Plan
After the students enter their course requests and review them with the counselor, they will then go on to Naviance and complete their Educational Developmental Plan. This is a time when we complete assessments and do some exploration of personality, colleges, and careers.
This process gives counselors and students the opportunity to individually discuss appropriate academic planning. We will be helping them enter their course requests into the scheduling program, checking to see that the course is recommended, and finally checking with their updated transcript to make sure the student is on track for graduation. This is a great time for students to ask questions about classes and also to get advice about specific college requirements.
Spring Cleaning!
In May we will mail home a letter to parents and guardians reminding them of the courses for which their student registered. This is a time to review, rethink and revise if there are any changes necessary. Following this, parents will have the opportunity to call the student's counselor by the date listed in the letter to make any changes necessary for the fall schedule.
Schedule Changes
Once the school year has ended, changes to the schedule can only be made for the following reasons:
Student has taken a summer school class that negates the need for a scheduled fall class or failed a class in the spring that needs to be rescheduled for fall.
Schedule errors due to computer errors. For example: Student has been scheduled into two tutorials in the same semester or two semester English classes in the same semester
Balancing classes to facilitate and improve student-to-teacher ratios
We will not be able to accommodate requests for class period changes, teacher changes, lunch hour changes, or additions to classes that are closed.

Some of our high school students have been scheduled into Michigan Virtual or Edgenuity for one or more of their second semester courses. Elementary School Specials:
In order to locate your OneGP Virtual specials classes in Schoology, please look for a course named "Specials Sandbox for OGPV: Grade ____" (Pictured below).
As of January 25th, specific specials teachers have been assigned to OneGP Virtual specials for the remainder of the school year. This has caused some minor changes to our specials schedule. We will be following an ABCD schedule versus M-F. The delivery and format will remain the same. The ABCD schedule is linked below.
OneGP Virtual Specials will consist of 2 components.
Asynchronous lessons weekly in Schoology - New Schoology Courses have been created and the students have already been added. There is one Schoology Course per grade level and folders within for each specials class.
Weekly optional Enrichment Zoom sessions
Here is the New OneGP Virtual Specials Schedule starting on January 25th
Neither of these components are mandatory and are meant to provide opportunities for OneGP Virtual students to engage in specials work synchronously and asynchronously should they so desire. OneGP Virtual specials will not change in function or delivery. However, the district has assigned specific teachers to OneGP Virtual; therefore, the teacher that your child is seeing may change.
