Jasper Weekly 2.1.16 to 2.7.16

Serve. Matter. Experience. Together.

Starry Night, City Lights!

It's hard to stop smiling. What an amazing event last night! Thank you to everyone who came out to help and be part of the fun with our fantastic students! And a huge shout out to Rebecca Mallory and STUCO; the leadership, work ethic, and attitude of these young men and women shined through with setup, execution, and clean up of the 2016 Jasper Winter Formal.

After I Facetimed my daughters last night during the Cha-Cha Slide, they let me know how cool our school is and that they want to come here one day, too. They are so right. We have such an amazing school made up by extraordinary students, parents, and staff members! I wish every student in the world had an opportunity to experience Jasper High School.

I will be off campus Monday through Wednesday of this week at the TCEA conference in Austin. This conference is one of the largest educational technology conferences in the nation and the largest in Texas. I'm excited to learn about new ways technology can help us be more efficient, increase our creativity, and enhance the overall learning experience for our learners. Can't wait to see you back on campus Thursday.

-(NEW) MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) at https://www.mooc-list.com/, get with your support admin to determine number of PD hours each course would count.

-(NEW) Campus professional development Google Classroom article discussion chats (Coryn will be sending e-mail soon and I will provide a link on the Ahead of the Curve)

If you have any questions about what might or might not count, please see your support admin.

If you do not meet the requirements above, you will either need to work on Monday, June 6th or take a personal leave day (can use a sick leave day if all personal days are exhausted).

Paraprofessional Staff:

You will need to check your work schedule in TEAMS to see if Friday, May 27th and Monday, June 6th are work days for you. If they are, please get with your support administrator for options for these days.

3. (NEW) Spring Pep Rally
