Bailey's Bulletin
Parents,
This year is Tuscany Heights Elementary's 10th Anniversary! We have enjoyed 10 years of Tiger Traditions at the Greatest School on Earth. We look forward to having you all help us celebrate this milestone on March 16th @5-6pm. Help us spread the date of this event with the community. We hope former families, students, and staff will join us in the celebration. Flyer is added below and will be on social media as well. Thank you for sharing it!
More recent on the calendar is our Pre-K and Kinder Roundup Event. We will host a night for future tigers on January 29th. This is a great night for families to come out and see the school, as well as all that we offer for their child. Kinder registration can happen that night as well!
Benchmarks are also happening this month to determine student growth from August until now. We look forward to using this data to better support our students as we begin the second semester.
Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Proud Principal,
Tara Bailey

The Wizard of Oz Musical- Johnson HS
Johnson Fine Arts presents The Wizard of Oz Musical! A beloved tale comes to life on the Johnson stage with a cast and crew of 185 students! After a tornado whisks Dorothy away from the family farm, she teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion to journey together down that fabled road of yellow brick in search of the mighty Wizard in the magical land of Oz. It’s rumored he knows how to give everyone what they’re missing, but along the way, they must avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch and her flying monkeys. Somewhere over the rainbow, Dorothy learns how magical friendship can be and how wonderful it is to go home again.
Performances are February 5, 6 and 7th at 7 pm and February 8th at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 and $15 available at www.johnsontheatre.com
CS JAM
The DATA High School Computer Science Honors Society is hosting a CS Jam on January 18th from 1-4, and I am hoping you will share this invitation with your students. I have attached the flyer and more information about the event.
The purpose of the event is to expose students to computer science and cyber security in a low stress and guided way. Since the event is free, open to the public, and being advertised widely, we are hoping we will be able to reach a range of students and kindle a passion for computer science and cyber security. We require that parents attend which can help connect the dots between CS and career possibilities. Further, because this event is being hosted and managed by the DATA Computer Science Honors Society, it is intended to foster a lasting engagement in community service for our young CS students while connecting the dots between CS and careers for the participants.

JHS Petting Zoo

There will be laser tag and a game truck (free for all guests) and food trucks (please bring $$ for these) in addition to the main event: students will have the opportunity try out a wide array of band instruments.
