April 22- 26th Peak Memo
Culture Collaboration Curriculum
Message From Director
I hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend! It felt so good to have this extra day. It was much needed! Some of you have already began your MAP testing and have shared with me some of the scholars who have exceeded their goals. Its even greater to have scholars come to me and share that they have met their goals. Lets ensure that EVERY scholar is motivated and aware of their specific goals AND what reaching their goal will mean for them. Only five weeks left and ALOT to accomplish! Let's keep us the great work! Have you showed some love to your peak PAL lately?

IB
This week’s IB Learner Profile is principled and Mrs. Gregory’s class will lead announcements. Someone who is principled is someone who acts with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness, justice, and respect for the dignity of the individual, groups, and communities. Principled scholars take responsibility for their own actions and the consequences that accompany them.
Some ideas for morning meetings topics pertaining to the IB learner profile principled are:
- What does it mean to “do the right thing when no one is looking”? How does this relate to being principled?
- How is accepting consequences for bad choices part of being principled?
- Think about the difference between fairness and justice. Compare and contrast these ideas.
- How is acting with integrity and honesty aligned with being principled?
