We Need You at School!

Life does happen, but we need you at school for the remaining 8 days. A reminder that this is the time to be very visible in the hallways and be on time for duty. The more supervision we have, the fewer issues we have with discipline. Every student that leaves class should have a pass and only let one student out of class at a time.

We appreciate you!

May 23rd: Awards Assembly in the auditorium for 6:00 pm (All teachers are required to attend) (NOTE the CHange of DATE and time!)

May 23rd: Meinke wedding shower: dinner will be served for both awards assembly and shower.

June 1st: 8:30 am Staff Breakfast and End of the Year Wrap Up

Flex Schedule

Just a reminder that we are running a flex schedule every Tuesday/ Thursday for the rest of May. Our last day will be May 24th.

Reminder about Grades and Extended Time

Just a reminder that all grades and assignments that are being recorded in the grade book must be finalized by Friday, May 25. This will help us with any students who are not going to be here due to the extension of the school year.

Procedure Reminders

Just a reminder that if you need student removed from class or student that asks to leave class to go to the office, please call for an escort or an intervention. Please do not just send out of class. They probably will not make it to the office on time.

Close Out Steps for Academic Year:


  • If you are leaving the district at the end of this school year and not returning to Norman Public Schools next August 2018, we are checking with your school sites to see about early check in of devices prior to finals week.

    • The Help Desk Team will accept the MacBook Devices reviewing for damage and helping you to remove your covers that you may have purchased.

    • They will check in both cords that were provided to you in addition to checking in your MacBook.


  • For students who find out after the last day of school in May 2018 that they will not be returning to Norman Public Schools in August 2018, please return your device and cords to your respective school site or Technology Services Center at 4100 N. Flood Ave.

    • The Help Desk Team will accept the MacBook Devices reviewing for damage and helping you to remove your covers that you may have purchased.

    • They will check in both cords that were provided to you in addition to checking in your MacBook.


  • During the first three school weeks of May, for students who are planning on returning to the district next year.

    • Please check in with the Help Desk at your school site so we can review the devices for any potential damage, allowing us to repair during the early part of summer 2018 and returning the device to you promptly.

    • You will have the opportunity to keep the device over the summer.


  • Summertime Updates.

    • Upgrades to the devices will happen during the summer months. When these updates push out, please keep the device plugged into power and connected to the internet, so that the updates will continue to work properly for you.

    • If you have repairs that are needed, please contact the Help Desk at your respective school site to get your device repaired.

    • If your device is lost or stolen during the summer, please contact the help desk at your respective school site to report the loss.

  • Interested in Purchasing a MacBook Air.

    • In working with our partners at Apple, please see following link - Apple Education Pricing. This will provide you an option to purchase a comparable MacBook Air to what you have been using in your current studies.

    • Our current MacBook being used by students is a MacBook Air model A1466.


  • Email and Drive Items

    • If you are preparing to leave the district and not return in August 2018, you may have items in your drive and gmail that you would like to be able to access in the future. Please plan on copying these items out of email and or drive, as your account will be inactivated thirty (30) days after you leave the district.
