Student Holiday on Monday
Keller ISD campuses will be closed Monday, November 6, for a Staff Professional Development Day.
District administrative offices will operate at their normal hours, but no classes will be held.
Veterans Day Breakfast
Friday, November 10th we will be honoring all US Veterans at our annual breakfast from 8am-9am in the FHMS Library. If you would like to join us, please RSVP to paul.higgins@kellerisd.net with your name, your student's name, branch of service and rank. Family, friends and neighbors that served are welcome.

Please mark your calendars for the PTA sponsored FHMS Masquerade Ball November 17th at the middle school cafeteria.
7th grade 5-6:30
8th grade 6:30-8:00
7th graders are from 5-6:30. They will be dropped off in the front and picked up in the front of the bulilding. Students must be picked up from dance, and parent must have car sign that will be provided.Dance is free to get in. We are asking students to donate a canned good or pantry item for a local food bank. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Students may dress up and where a masquerade mask but they do not have to.

Thank you to all the people that made our FIRST annual AVID Thankful Dinner possible. It would never have been possible with your help!! Students invited their families and a teacher in which they were thankful for. It was such a joy to see the smiles on students’ faces when they were reunited with old teachers.
Parental Involvement opportunities in KISD
I am pleased to announce our upcoming Parent Sessions. The sessions will take place at the noted location, date, and time. I encourage you to come out and join us as we explore different topics. These are interactive sessions and we do require a minimum of 10 participants for the session to take place. Registration is required by email. - KCAL Campus Tour for 8th graders, November 30th (3 different trips scheduled throughout the day)
Students: Want to win $100 gift card(s)? Innovate lunch…use your imagination to build an app, gaming platform, card game, etc. to captivate an entire lunch crowd.
Please submit your app, gaming platform, card game, etc. to Mr. Higgins by November 10th. We will share your ideas and vote on them during lunches the week of November 13-17.
It’s the start of the 3rd 6 weeks. The 1st semester ends December 15th. Leave no Zeros in the grade book!!!
In the next couple of months, 7th and 8th grade students will begin learning about high school graduation requirements in Keller ISD. This will take place in your student’s advisory class. 8th grade students will be building a 4-year that will help guide them in high school. The goal is to help them discover their strengths and begin narrowing their focus as they begin to select courses for high school. If you would like to view the Modules for the lessons, please check out the iGraduate link on the front of the Keller ISD website.
early dismissal
Reminder that you must be in the office in person to pick your student up for early dismissal. We can't allow students to leave the school unaccompanied before dismissal.

As a reminder, students may not carry their own medication. It must be turned in to the nurse's office with proper documentation. Please feel free to call if you have questions.
Sports physicals are required for all athletes. Please refer to the Rank One information Coach Morse and Coach Williams have sent out.

We can't wait for the athletes to start playing this school year, we invite you to support our students in representing The Hill in the bleachers and showing your spirit for the Wildcats. The Casey's Kids 5K Fun Run will be held at Bear Creek Park on Saturday, November 11th. Attached are the sponsorship and registration forms for your parents and classroom teachers.
Fossil Ridge Sports
Fossil Ridge is now a member of District 3-6A UIL alignment along with other Keller ISD high schools, Haltom, Weatherford, and Abilene. The 3-6A District Executive Committee has determined that no outside food or drink be allowed into the stadium. The decision for this new rule is primarily to ensure the safe environment for all patrons.
