#CelebrateMonday
February 6, 2017
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had the opportunity to spend this weekend the way you wanted to spend it! Whether that was watching football, eating yummy snacks, watching Superbowl commercials (or avoiding the entire Superbowl scene) - I hope it provided you with fun and time to rest!
I was thinking about this over the weekend, and I realized how important it is right now for me (maybe us?) to be incredibly intentional about seeing the good that is all around us. As we feel the frustration of trying to plan for things that aren't quite clear, we must take the time to celebrate the student who does today what he couldn't do yesterday. We must highlight the teacher who chooses to demonstrate love and understanding when his/her most challenging student make (another) poor choice. And we must celebrate the staff members who go out of their way to make things run smoothly and to extend a helping hand to everyone and anyone who is in need.
These things, these seemingly little things, are where we can find joy - daily!
And while you're doing that - let's make this the best Monday of the week!
Cheers!
