We thank you sincerely for your time, and our conversations with you during parent/teacher conferences. Our next scheduled conferences will be on February 11 and 12, 2016.

Upcoming dates to keep in mind...

Thursday, Dec. 10- 7:00 P.M. PTO meeting in the LRC- Please join us! Free child care provided:

  • Special presentation by the students of the Edgewood Highlights after school club
  • Planning for our Family Fun Night will also begin

Friday, Dec. 11- No School for Students- District 68 School Improvement Day

Tuesday, Dec. 15- Spring 2015 PARCC scores will go home with District #68 students in fourth through eighth grades

Thursday, Dec. 17- Go Roma "No Cook" Night! Support the PTO through this fundraiser by enjoying dinner at Go Roma, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Please show your flyer sent home in your child's backpack (this was also included in the December Edifier) when you order. Thank you!

Friday, Dec. 18- Classroom Holiday Parties

Last day of school before Winter Break

January Edifier will go home with students

Winter Break- Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 to Sunday, January 3, 2016

Common Sense Media is a great resource for parents- before investing in movies, games and apps. The site advocates for safe and appropriate media for kids of all ages.

Student Council Holiday Pens and Pencils Fundraiser

Starting on Monday, December 14 through Friday, December 18th, Student Council representatives will be selling Holiday pens and pencils in the primary hallway, outside Mrs. Simmons' room.

  • Each day, from 8:10 to 8:15, students will be able to make their purchases.
  • Pens are priced at $1.00 and pencils will be sold for 50 cents a piece.

Please remember you can help Edgewood PTO and the Earth!

The PTO is now collecting your old ink and toner cartridges at Edgewood School through a fundraising program with Cartridge World, in Downers Grove. The cartridges will be recycled or remanufactured and Edgewood School will get paid for every eligible cartridge.

Any cartridge, regardless of brand or type will be accepted. Please send empty cartridges to school in a Ziploc bag.

Five Below Fundraiser, too!

The PTO has partnered with Five Below on 75th Street, this weekend and next, so that your purchases can support the Edgewood PTO. The flyers will be coming home in your child's backpack (either today or tomorrow), and 10% of your purchase price will be donated back to the PTO!
