January 26, 2018
Earlier today you should have received the emailed letter providing information on how to reduce the risk of spreading flu. Please remind your children to cough and sneeze into their sleeves at the elbow and to wash hands. Also, remember the 24-hour expectation to be fever/diarrhea free for 24 hours without the help of fever reducing medication such as Tylenol, Motrin, Advil etc. Together we will help keep our children healthy!
I do want to thank you for your support of the American Heart Association service project and our Red Cross blood drive. Through our team work we are making a difference in our community. Thank you so much!
This is a shout out to our PTO and our families who supported Zaxby's Day and our Chick-fil-a Biscuit sale. Proceeds from these opportunities go to support our students and their activities. PAC Night for our students will be on Friday, February 2, 6:30-10:00 p.m. Thank you all!
Monday kicks off the registration of next year's kindergarten and first grade students. Please share this information with neighbors who have children who will be ready for school. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2018. We will have an extended registration day on Thursday, February 1.
Also, take note that on Thursday, February 1, we will have our Family Night for 1st and 2nd grade students. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m.!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy a great book with your child!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary
