Peculiar Patriot Newsletter

Hello Peculiar Families!

Happy mid-April to you all!

Can you believe we have less than 6 weeks until summer? How did we get here so fast?

Thank you for coming out to our Music performance! It was amazing, and I was so excited to see everyone together again. Our students rocked that performance and were so proud to perform for you. Great job Ms. Stella for putting this together!

As you probably saw, we will no longer be sending devices home through the end of the school year. Thank you for your support throughout this year with these, and helping your student(s) learn how to take care of them, keep track of their chargers, and be responsible with the technology. We couldn't do it without you.

Staff Appreciation week is coming up May 2-6, and you have seen and will see a few more secret communications coming out for that. Thank you so much for supporting our staff and all the things you have already done to help with that week's festivities!

Field day is also coming up on May 13 (Rain-out day May 20). We are looking for parent volunteers to help work our stations. If you would like to sign up for this, you can click on this sign-up genius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c084aafa823abff2-field

We are also kicking off our state MAP testing this week. Our first day is April 26 and will go through the first week of May. Please be sure to have your child get a good night's sleep, arrives to school on time, and eats a good breakfast. We know they are going to do their best!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out through email, or give us a call at 816-892-1650.

Car Rider Line Reminders:

Please do not let your child out of the car in the morning until 8:20 a.m. when you see staff arrive in the lot. Staff is there to help keep kids safe with moving cars, so please be patient.

Reminder: as you are waiting in line to pick up your student at the end of the day-please do not block driveways. We appreciate you being mindful of this so that our community can enter and exit their houses/driveways safely.

Also- cars should be lined up from the pick up lot, onto 3rd street, then onto South Street. They then turn to continue the line onto 1st street (Do not continue down south street and over C-Hwy).

Please be courteous and allow people to enter the line when following this process.
