Clemens Counselor Connection

College, Career & Military Information - August 17-21

Dear Buff Family-

Hello Buffs!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! Although we have started the school year a little differently, we are hoping that you are getting settled into a routine with completing your assignments and have utilized Zoom and/or tutoring sessions with your teachers as needed. Don’t hesitate to ask your teachers for help!

Counselors are working through schedule changes requests and we appreciate your patience. Please make sure you are joining your new Google classrooms so you don’t get behind. Just a reminder, we do not honor teacher or lunch requests. The link to submit schedule changes will stay active until August 26. After that time, students are not allowed to make any more changes. The request can be found here:

We also know this is a busy time of the year for our Seniors as they are making decisions about post-secondary plans. We have begun collecting some info from seniors about their future plans and how we can assist them. We plan to meet with them individually in-person, by phone or via Zoom. The format of our upcoming Senior Parent Night will look different. More info will be coming soon so please check our website frequently, follow us on Twitter @ClemensCounsel and like the Samuel Clemens High School Facebook page.

Counselors are available to speak with students and parents about concerns they have. We encourage students and parents to submit an appointment request through our website. We are still here to support you no matter the location. We are all in this together!

Best wishes for a great year!
