In the story "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" the author's text structure is define by characterization.

The first reason how characterization is use is that Mitty shy.

When Mitty was getting out of a daydream a cop told him to move his car, he did but did not said anything. Then when he was going to park the car he did not know were to park the car. A lot addendant said he would park it, then Mitty got out he took the keys then the addendant ask for the key. Mitty gave it to him but did not said anything because he was embarrssed.

The second why characterization is use is that he dose not stick up for himself.

When Mitty was in his car the cop asked him to move his car rudly and Mitty did not do anything about it. Later he was walking tho the store to buy puppie biscuits. He started to say puppie biscuits out loud, then a woman said he was werid for saying those thing and Mitty kept on walking.

The final reason why characterization is use is that he is forgtful of things.

One reason why he is forgetful of things is one time when it snow he could not take the chains off the car, so now he has to go to a garage to get them off. Another is he forgot the second thing his wife had told him to doon his outing.
