Aboriginal Games

What is Keentan?

Keentan is a A keep-away game of catch ball played by both genders. The game was also called the ‘kangaroo-play’ because the players jumping up to catch the ball resembled the movements of a kangaroo.

How the Game Works

All you need for this game is a ball, (any type is good) and two teams of players. 4-6 on each team. It is a keep away sort of game but the catch is that you have to jump to catch and to throw the ball. Also you cannot move with the ball you only may pivot. There are two sides of the field one for each team. To score you have to get the ball the end of the other teams court by passing to other teammates.
