WBMS Friday Notes

October 29- Nov 2

Reflections from Ms. Perkins

WBMS Parents and Guardians –

We had so much fun with Red Ribbon Week. Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who decorated our building and interacted with students handing out stickers, wristbands, stamps and assisting with the drug-free pledge banners and the lunchtime photo booth as we emphasized living a drug-free life. Students and staff members wore red, hats, neon, and sports team shirts to celebrate the week. Our students are precious, and we want them to lead full, well-balanced lives forever. Thank you for making this year’s Red Ribbon Week a success.

Thank you also to all the parent volunteers who supported our Book Fair!

This week was also filled with Halloween/spooky-themed lessons. Our band students started us off with haunted music in the rotunda before school; English and reading classes focused on mood, tone, and suspense while enjoying short stories and poetry; science classes used dry ice and all sorts of ghostly experiments to study diffusion, solids, liquids, and gasses; and our chorus went “scaroling” through the hallways. It was a howling good time!

Relish the weekend with your students as you fill your homes with love and laughter!
