Welcome et Bienvenue!
Principal's Message from Ms. MurphyWelcome everyone! Whether you are new to our Adam Scott School and Community or returning for an awesome year in grade 8, we are excited to see you soon. Our administration team includes Vice Principal Laura Doucette, Vice Principal Courtney Chartrand, Secondary Principal Wilf Gray and myself Jennifer Murphy. We look forward to working together with students, families and staff to ensure our year is both fulfilling and safe for everyone. As you may have noticed, our Adam Scott mascot is the lion. We pride ourselves as Adam Scott Lions on many positive character traits that we will be aspiring to achieve and we will be supporting our students to do so. Some of those traits include kindness, leadership and engagement. | Our mascot with Mr. Allen (Grade 8 Teacher)Be kind! Be engaged! Be a leader! Be a lion! Kindness, leadership and engagement may sound simple, but they are each quite complex. We will reflect on questions such as... What does it actually mean to show kindness, caring and empathy in action? How do leaders shine and rise to their full potential while supporting, respecting and including others and their community? And, what does it mean to be fully present in learning and to take responsibility to be engaged in the full range of learning opportunities that are offered? We look forward to exploring these questions and more together! | Join our August Google Classroom!Just to start to connect and get to know one another, we have set up a google classroom so that we can chat, share some summer stories, explore summer activities and more. If you would like to join our August Google Classroom the last week of August, please ask your parent/caregiver to email the Principal, Ms. Murphy and she will share the code to enter. In the email, please state the student's first and last name, grade and teacher. |
