Safety Reminders
REMINDER:
Park only in designated parking spots. Do not double park or park in an area that is not intended for parking.
During morning drop off, no parking on Sagebrush near the baseball gate. This should be for drive by and drop off only. We will have a staff member out there this year asking parents to drop off their students and move along. This will help with the congestion of traffic.
Do not drop your child off on the opposite side of the road and have them cross the street without there being a designated crosswalk.
OBEY all of the traffic signs and speeds around LES during school hours. When you exit our north parking lot, please turn right. This will keep traffic moving during this congested time of the day.
When you pick up your child near the gazebo, make eye contact with the teacher so they can high five or fist bump your child before they release them to you. Do not come into the center of the grass area where our teachers and students go to be released. This is not the time to conference with our teachers. They are busy making sure all of our students are safe and have made contact with their parent or guardian.
During curb pick up, pull up as far as possible before stopping to pick up your child. We have staff that will make sure they come to your car when it is safe.
Together we can make this a safe experience for everyone.
Text Remind
LES uses the application called REMIND to send parents important information by text messaging.
To receive messages by text, text the number 81010 with the message @lesowls
This is the same text alert as last year. You do not need to sign up again if you already have.
NOTE FROM OUR HEALTH OFFICE
The health office is in great need of used/new clothing for those unexpected accidents that happen at school. The clothing saves time and missing work for the parents who have to bring clean clothes to school after their child needs a change of clothes. If you could please do a little Spring cleaning of your closets at home this would be appreciated. We are in need of the following items:
~ Boys shorts- 6,8,10,12,14
~ Boys tee-shirts- 8,10,12,14
~ Boys Flip Flops- Children’s- 12/13, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6
~ Girls shorts/ cotton stretch leggings/tee-shirts 6/7-(S), 7/8-(M), 10/12-(L)
