Message From The Principal
I would like to wish you a very happy holiday season from all of us at Fort Mill High School!
There's lots going on around Fort Mill High School!
Fall sports--basketball and wrestling--are in full swing. The visual and performing arts department is in the middle of their fall semester performance season. And with just 18 more school days left, teachers are busy getting all of their content in as we approach the home stretch of the 1st semester.
Below are a few end-of-the-1st-semester details that can help you stay informed as we wrap things up.
Exams are scheduled for Wednesday, January 15th and Thursday, January 16th. Students are not permitted to take exams early so please be sure to save these dates and plan accordingly.
With very few exceptions, 2nd-semester schedules are set. Students were provided ample opportunity to make schedule change requests prior to June 5, 2019--the end of the last school year. Additionally, the counseling office worked with students prior to the start of this school year--during Conflict Resolution this past August--to address incomplete and incorrect schedules. Second-semester schedules were effectively set as of August 19th, 2019--the first day of this school year. We will not entertain 2nd-semester schedule change requests unless the request meets one of the following criteria:
- A student failed a course and needs to repeat it
- A student needs a course in order to graduate this school year
- A senior is dropping a course they no longer need for graduation or college admittance and is seeking to replace it with a free block
