Mill Creek Supports Kids in Need Charity

Mill Creek HSA makes charitable donations by providing students with book fair credits, teachers with mini grants used at the book fair, and contributions to the library. Scholastic matches a book for every dollar that we donate to an organization called Kids in Need. This organization decides which schools could use books due to natural disasters, poverty, or other unfortunate circumstances.

This year, Scholastic donated 7,372 books in Mill Creek's name. From 2014-2016, 19,546 books have been donated thanks to the book fair credit and the other charitable donations made by HSA.

Thank you to everyone that has helped support Kids in Need!

Field Day 2016

Thank you to Mrs. Leuthe for making Field Day a huge success! The students and staff had a wonderful time at each event and the students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship skills! Thank you to all of the parent volunteers and staff members that made field day run smoothly!

Mill Creek Magic Miles

Congratulations to 2016 Mill Creek Magic Miles Scholarship recipients: Ariel Hannum, Emily Rehmet, and Lindsay Steinberg!

This year we were able to fund three $2,000 scholarships to the CB South graduating seniors.

On behalf of the Magic Miles committee, we would like to thank the Mill Creek community for their contributions that went directly to supporting this year's scholarships. We greatly appreciate the continued support! Looking forward to the 2017 Magic Miles 5K - it will be our 10th year of providing scholarship money!

New Laptops at Mill Creek

Third through sixth grade students are extremely happy to have additional laptops in the building thanks to a district technology initiative. Students are able to utilize laptops during math rotations, writing classes, and even to help create enrichment projects!

Invention Convention

The fourth grade Pen students traveled to Pine Run for their Invention Convention. The students surveyed, developed, and presented new inventions to teachers, parents, and students at the annual convention. Congratulations on your hard work and determination!
