Chapter 78 Relief and Job Justice Update
NJEA President Marie Blistan and State Senate President Steve Sweeney came to an agreement on Chapter 78 Relief and our Job Justice. This week on a statewide conference call for local leaders and governance, details were given including a new website setup specifically to house the information on potential changes to the health care plans offered to employees. In the next few months, each member will need to make a decision about their health care plan moving forward. Do you continue on the Direct 10 base plan, Direct 15 or do you opt for the new Educator Health Plan which offers Chapter 78 relief? We have attached relevant documents in regards to health care. More information can be found at http://www.njea.org/justice. As we get additional information, we will pass it along.
