From the Desk of Ms. Cimino
We are looking forward to many great events and activities in February, including Valentine's Day and the 100th Day of School! Please remember to continue to send your child in with appropriate winter clothing as they will go outside for recess, gym, and gross motor when possible.
When your child will be absent from school please remember to call the absence hotline, even if you have already messaged the teacher. The absence hotline can be reached by dialing the main Potter number at (732) 269-5700 and choosing option 1.
Over the coming month, attendance letters will go home to students who have missed more than 10% of the school year at this point (10 days). Each year I get several questions about this practice. These letters go home so that we are all on the same page regarding your child's attendance. If your child has had an extended absence due to illness that has been documented via doctor's notes, etc. then there is no need for concern. Please continue to monitor your child's attendance so that absences do not become excessive. We will be in contact to set up a meeting if needed. As always, our students are most successful when we all work together!
Preschool and Kindergarten Registration
Preschool and kindergarten registration is February 20-25. If your child already attends school in the district they do not need to register. Your child must be 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2024 for preschool and 5 by October 1, 2024 for kindergarten. Click on the photo below for additional information.
